Paul Kelly

President/Owner
“Knowledge is like underwear. It is useful to have it, but not necessary to show it off.”

Paul is a driven owner that has been responsible for hundreds of millions of square feet of electrical and fire design and construction work while building IBS and developing it into a place that attracts top talent.

Nate Krell

Operations Director
Level 1 Thermographer
“Intellectuals solve problems; Project Managers prevent them.”

Nate has an uncanny ability to troubleshoot and repair almost anything. That ability comes from the many years of running electrical and solar work across the country. He drives quality in all of the things he touches.

Bryce Armbruster

Sales & Marketing Director
“Be the Best You Can Be.”

Bryce joined IBS after deciding his years in finance and solar weren’t as challenging as his four children.  When not coaching youth soccer, Bryce enjoys developing customer relationships and building sales and marketing strategies.  Bryce on choosing a favorite; “I’m not trying to determine which kid is my favorite, I’m trying to determine which hobby is my favorite.”

Missy Miller

Office Director
“It'll be fine.”

Missy comes to IBS after many years of working in other industries. She owned a company and held leadership roles in others, bringing all of those skills and experiences to her role as the office director for IBS. Her strong relationship skills combined with those business experiences help her keep the rest of the IBS team on track.

Matt Vernon

Project Manager
Level 1 Thermographer
“I am not telling you it’s going to be easy, but I am telling you it’s going to be worth it.”

Matt has developed a wealth of technical knowledge in his career, from electrical components to arc flash and electrical safety. He brings all of that experience to the team while he leads the Arc Flash team to provide the best possible solutions for our customers.

Scott Garman

Superintendent
Level 1 Thermographer
“If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?“

Scott is a Master Electrician with a slightly different background. He once completed a degree in youth ministry, which comes in useful more than you might imagine in this industry. His degree, experience playing and coaching sports, and extensive electrical training give Scott the tools he needs to do keep customers’ projects moving forward.

Jim Herlofsky

Sr. Project Manager - Electrical
“It’s better to admit you went through the wrong door than spend your life in the wrong room.”

Jim has 40 years of experience in the electrical industry.  He began his career as a summer helper and had stops as a project manager, business owner, and VP prior to joining IBS.  In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his family at the cabin.  His favorite shoes are Hey Dudes.

Ed Dauphin

Superintendent
Level 1 Thermographer
“Well done is better than well said.” – Benjamin Franklin

Ed is a Master Electrician who specializes in Arc Flash and electrical hazard identification and prevention.  His professional goal is to make the workplace safer by cultivating safety awareness and understanding.  In his free time, Ed enjoys all things outdoors and teaching himself to play the guitar.

Gary Moon

Superintendent
“Respect the juice – electricity doesn’t care how tough you think you are.”

Gary has spent decades providing oversight for commercial electrical projects.  He is a master of his craft and takes pride in getting the job done correctly and safely.  When not on the jobsite, Gary enjoys riding his horses and spending time in the hot desert sun.

Jen Toepper

Project Coordinator
“We would accomplish many more things if we did not think of them as impossible.”

Jen brings years of tech industry experience as an account manager, adept at steering diverse client projects to completion on time and within budget. Her drive on the pickleball court matches her fierce commitment to project success. As a dedicated dance mom, she’s mastered the art of juggling chaos with grace.

Tyler Hatch

Associate Project Manager
“It’s better to ask questions than it is to keep making the same mistakes.”

Tyler honed his skills as a lineman school graduate and pre-apprentice electrician before swapping heights for solid ground as a project manager. With years of field experience, he now drives projects to success from the office. Off the clock, he’s camping, tackling ladder-free DIY home projects, or chilling with family.

Jake Kingsbury

Associate Power Systems Engineer“I'd rather go 0-For-thirty than 0-for-9. Because you go 0-for-9 that means you stopped, that means you lost confidence.” - Dion Waiters

Jake is an electrical engineer who spends his days calculating arc flash boundaries. By night he commands Warhammer armies with precision, plays piano, and shoots hoops with more heart than height—his jump shot still draws more laughs than swishes. Colleagues trust him with their lives around 15 kV switchgear; opponents fear his perfectly shaded space marines.

Eric Kinler

Project Manager
NICET III
“Life is too short so love the one you got.” - Brad Nowell

Eric is a seasoned project manager who brings calm leadership to large fire alarm projects. He’s proud of earning his NICET certifications and even prouder of raising two great kids. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him traveling with his family or catching concerts with his son. His love of music shows in his favorite Bob Marley reminder that “when it hits you, you feel no pain.”

Justin Clabo

Superintendent
“Stay curious, solve the problem, and leave it better than you found it.”

Justin’s years in the fire alarm industry involve doing a little bit of everything—installation, service, programming,  and chasing down system issues that refuse to cooperate. He has a reputation for solving problems others have already given up on (usually without cursing… much). Justin also enjoys reading and creating educational videos for fire alarm novices.
